Drake signed with Lil Wayne's Young Money yesterday. There was speculation that he was to sign with Universal but the was announced by MTV claimed that he wants to stay in independent artist, so he will be with Young Money but he Universal will distribute his music. Whatever his plans are, he will be an interesting young artist who will emerge successful. He has a lot of followers, and no matter the negative opinions about this move he made, I think it will definitely give him more publicity.
The new Gucci Shoe Fall Collection has arrived and is available online and in stores. The white leather with black and red trim, high top lace up sneakers were spotted on celebrities such as Jamie Foxx. The sneakers sell for $535.
I think it was a little inappropriate singing the song "Every Girl" with Lil Wayne's daughter and friends with them. The song is about wishing and having relations with every girl they want or meet. Kind of not to correct scene for audience and kids to see.

We have heard about this new marketing strategy as Soulja Boy and popular rapper, Drake has done this as well. Is this the new era of markteting for the Hip Hop and the whole Music Industry? I think that many will follow, but will it help their career? Is this the new type of blogging through free sharing of music and mixtapes? I guess we will see if it works. I think that for many of the budding artists out there, they should jump on this wagon while it the idea is still hot, because the next thing you know, the public will just be inundated with so many mixtapes and so many artists that they will not know who to follow or listen to.

Drake was a presenter at the Much Music Video Awards. The Star.com has quoted him saying "Probably by the end of next week I should have a record deal done," Drake said. "It will be with somebody under the Universal (Records) umbrella."
The shared download of his mixtape definitely helped his career take off in the right direction. It was a great marketing tactic, and seeing from the speed of his record deals, I think a lot of aspiring artists out there should take notice and take pointers from Drake's success. This is the new era of artist development, in which Drake took all of it into his own hands.

There are rumors that Lil' Wayne is a somewhat disappointed for Drake not immediately signing with him and his group and label, Young Money. Lil' Wayne feels that after taking him on tour and introducing him to the masses, Drake could return a favor of some sort. I think Drake is just being cautious about his career. Great move for Drake! She has replaced her previous boyfriend Chris Brown whom she allegedly had a confrontation with that ended in a great controversy of domestic abuse. The rumored abuse has tainted Chris Brown's reputation and put a damper on Rihanna's career, that people speculated that she could not move on without Chirs. This news shows that Rihanna has definitely learned her lesson and found that she deserve to be treated better. You go girl!

According to MTV.com Kanye West announced today that he will be going on tour with Lady Gaga. He states he is a Lady Gaga fan and that he was inspired by her hit song "Poker Face". He collaborated with Kid Cudi to rework the song to "I Make Her Say." He claims that him and Lady Gaga are doing the show together and "that she will not be an opening act."
More information about the tour will be revealed soon.
I feel this is a fresh new take in concerts as most artist going on tour usually only use other artists as an opening act. Kanye West seems like the humble artist that welcomes new artists. Be it the famous dance diva such as Lady Gaga or Chris Allen of American Idol singing his own rendition of "Heartless." Either way it will be a a treat for both the artists' fans.
